We are AFDO

We are a collective group of body artists, tattoo artists, cosmetic tattoo artists, permanent makeup artists and body modification specialists who are dedicated to improving the safety around tattoo products. Our committee also include regulators, educators, and other stakeholders in coming legislation related to body art.

We are currently accepting comments to the FDA Guidance Document about Tattoo Inks.

Guidance Document Comment SubmissionWe are encouraging all stakeholders to submit comments regarding the FDA Guidance document released in June 2023 in this Guidance Document Comment Submission portal. Each comment will be reviewed and validated to ensure time is effectively used at the AFDO BAC Committee meetings. Please review the link to review the Draft Guidance for Tattoo Inks from FDA We are collecting emails to ask for clarification if the event of incomplete submission. The final document will be completed by August 20th to be submitted to the AFDO Board of Directors for formal FDA Comment Submission. To participate in this effort, submit your comments here.
